Telling somebody with inexperience to go drill them without the hammer function was actually pretty poor advice that's not worth listening to. Somebody forgot to mention that the things need to be overdrilled to set properly otherwise they just strip out, and if you're inexperienced with drilling concrete that's really not a great way to be getting your feet wet. You were going to absolutely hate drilling those Tapcons without a hammer function, unless we were talking something much softer like brick. Assuming you went with a hammer drill-driver.
